Job Description
Location: Hasselt (minimum 50% presence in the office)Type: Full‑time or minimum 80% - Permanent contract
We are looking for a precise, well‑organized, and proactive Finance Operations & Reporting Assistant (“Financieel-Administratief Bediende”) who will play a key role in our financial and operational administration. You will combine daily financial‑administrative tasks with the preparation of monthly management reporting and the execution of basic financial controls.You will work closely with our CFO and act as an important link between internal teams, suppliers, customers, and our external accountant.This position is ideal for someone who enjoys taking responsibility, appreciates variety, and gains energy from a well‑structured administrative environment.
What will you do?
1. Financial and Administrative Tasks
- Processing and verifying incoming invoices.- Acting as the primary point of contact for our external accountant and dispatching all relevant documents.- Monitoring general company expenses (insurance, telecom, rent, consultancy, etc.).- Collecting missing invoices, expense notes, and other financial documents.- Administrative processing of credit card statements.- Preparation and follow‑up of customs and export related payments- Preparing the weekly payment run.
2. Financial Reporting & Controls
- Preparing monthly financial management reporting (P&L, Budget‑vs‑Actual analyses) in close collaboration with the CFO.- Performing basic financial checks, including: verifying correct cost center allocation, checking the correct use of GL accounts by the external accountant, validating the correct functioning and data quality of the ERP system.
Profile
- You have at least 5 years of experience in a similar financial‑administrative role.- You work accurately, methodically, and independently.- You have a strong administrative mindset and solid numerical insight.- You communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external stakeholders.- Excellent command of Dutch and English.- Strong Excel skills (formulas, tables, basic analyses).- Basic knowledge of or affinity with accounting.
Nice to Have
- Good command of French.- Experience with an ERP system, preferably Odoo.
