Job Description
What do we expect from you?
Location: Hasselt (minimum 80% on-site presence required)Type: Full‑time - Permanent contract
As Teamlead Production & Assembly, you take end-to-end ownership of our production operations for all hardware product lines supporting our drone detection platform. You lead a growing production team, ensure operational excellence, and guarantee that our systems are built, tested, and delivered according to the highest quality standards.
You combine hands on leadership with strong planning, process thinking, and a deep sense of responsibility for safety, quality, and efficiency. You work closely with Sales, Engineering, Procurement, and Quality to ensure smooth production flows and predictable delivery timelines.
What will you do?
1. Production Planning & Coordination
· Translate sales forecasts and confirmed orders into a detailed production plan, balancing capacity, lead times, and priorities.· Maintain a rolling, at least 3 months forward looking production plan to ensure predictability and resource readiness.· Align daily with Sales, Operations, and Engineering on planning updates, delivery commitments, and potential bottlenecks.· Define the daily task allocation for all production team members and monitor progress throughout the day.
2. Team Leadership & Operational Management
· Lead, coach, and develop the Production & Assembly team, fostering a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement.· Ensure optimal staffing, onboarding, and skills development within the team.· Monitor productivity, quality output, and adherence to procedures.· Act as the first escalation point for operational issues on the production floor.
3. Bill of Materials & ERP (Odoo) Ownership
· Create, maintain, and continuously improve Bills of Materials (BoMs) for all product lines and variants.· Ensure accurate routing, component lists, and production steps in Odoo.· Collaborate with Engineering to implement product changes, versioning, and configuration management.
4. Procurement & Inventory Coordination
· Ensure timely ordering of components, raw materials, and consumables in collaboration with Procurement.· Monitor stock levels, lead times, and supplier reliability to avoid shortages.· Flag risks early and propose mitigation actions.
5. Production Tools, Testing & Quality Assurance
· Define and maintain all production tools, jigs, and testing equipment required for efficient assembly and validation.· Develop and maintain testing procedures to ensure consistent product quality.· Work closely with Engineering and Quality to validate new tools, test protocols, and product updates.
6. Documentation & Standardization
· Create and maintain assembly instructions, work instructions, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).· Define and enforce safety procedures and ensure compliance with internal and external standards.· Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize workflows, reduce waste, and increase throughput.

Your Profile
· Proven experience in leading a production or assembly team, ideally in electronics, hardware manufacturing, or high-tech environments.· Strong understanding of production planning, BoM management, and operational workflows.· Hands on experience with ERP systems, preferably Odoo.· Ability to read and interpret technical documentation (schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings).· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage both daily operations and long-term planning.· Fluent in Dutch; professional proficiency in English.
